Covers Evolutionary Product Development

Arthur O. Eger (1950) studied Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. In 2003 he was appointed professor in Product Design at the programme Industrial Design Engineering of the University of Twente.

In the wiki he describes the phenomena that appear during the various phases of a product's life. The regularities that were found have been analysed and described. This has led to six product phases: performance, optimisation, itemisation, segmentation, individualisation, and awareness. The six phases are placed in a chronological order such that predictions about new or future products can be made.
